Molinia caerulea ssp. Moorhexe
A good black flower stem, Narrow erect grey- green leaves. With upright stems bearing slender purple tinted flower spikes, with fresh foliage that turns to a reddy colour in Autumn.
This grass that enjoys damper soils and a more upright flowering habit. In later Autumn, early winter the plant will dismantle itself from it base. So it not a good grass for winter interest.
